Cory P. DeBord

Cory P. DeBord maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on school law, local government law, and property taxation. He represents the Cherokee County School District, the Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority, the City of Ball Ground, and the Cherokee County Board of Tax Assessors in litigation and appellate matters.

 Prior to joining the firm, Cory was employed by another firm in Canton, ran his own firm in Canton, and worked as an assistant district attorney.

 Cory graduated from the University of Georgia in 2003 and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 2009.

 Cory attends St. Clement's Episcopal Church, where he has taught Sunday School. led the youth group, and served as senior warden. A sixth-generation resident of Cherokee County, he lives in Macedonia with his wife, Sarah Shearouse, and their children.
